TikTok vs Instagram Reels vs YouTube Shorts for SaaS

Use the network where your buyer already pays attention, and only if you can connect the account that network accepts. One vertical clip can be posted to all three. Vlozy does not have evidence that one of them produces more customers than the others, so this page will not rank them.

The Vlozy calendar queue for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and Threads. An example, not a customer result.

Choose by the job, not by a viral chart

Check Instagram Help before you lock a runtime. Do not copy a blog’s “best length.” Limits move, and a draft in the app is not the same as a direct post. TikTok’s posting guide, read 16 Oct 2026.

YouTube also says a Short longer than one minute with an active copyright claim is blocked globally. If your music is not cleared, keep the Short under a minute or use music you are allowed to use. That rule is on the same YouTube Help page.

What can stay the same, and what cannot

The picture can be the same file: a vertical clip, hook first, product second, captions on the frame, music under it. How that clip is made is automatic short-form video creation. Teaching lines for the opening are in short-form hooks for SaaS.

The words around the post should not be the same. A YouTube title that helps someone find the short is a bad Instagram caption. A TikTok line that only makes sense after the last frame will not work as a YouTube title either.

Posting is the later step. The checklist for accounts, approval, and failed uploads is how to automate short-form video posting. The product page is automatic video publishing.

Where a small software team should start

  1. If people already search the problem you solve, start with YouTube Shorts. The short can still be found after the week it was posted. That is a reason to start there, not a promise of search traffic.
  2. If your buyers already follow you on Instagram, start with Reels. You need the professional or creator account linked to a Page, or the upload will not be the one you think you connected.
  3. If you can show a situation without saying the product name, test TikTok with the Business account. Confirm the video is on the profile. A notification in the app is not proof.
  4. Add the other two after the first network has one live post you have opened yourself.

Facebook Reels and Threads are separate. They are not covered by this three-way choice. Facebook needs the Page, not a personal profile.

Asset required. Show the same clip three times, each with its own caption visible: a YouTube title, an Instagram caption, and a TikTok line. Alt text should say they are one video and three texts. Do not add view counts. Do not label one network the winner.

What this comparison will not tell you

  • Which network will get you more demos. Vlozy has not published that study.
  • A single “best” length. Third-party blogs disagree, and the networks change the limit. Use the help pages linked above.
  • That posting through an API changes how a network scores a video. We do not claim that, and we do not claim the opposite as a measured result.
  • That you should post every day on all three from the first week. Approve the first clips. Then decide on a schedule.

Connect the one you can actually authorize

Pick the row in the table where you already have the right account. Post one clip. Open it on that network. Then add the next. A software product with a public site can use the same clip path on each. Who that is for is on short-form video for SaaS.

Early access does not include a guaranteed mix of networks or a result on any of them. Sign in if you already have a workspace.
