What is a CPM?

CPM is cost divided by impressions, then multiplied by 1,000. $20.00 and 10,000 impressions is a $2.00 CPM. Impressions are not views. This page does the arithmetic on the numbers you type. It does not know an advertiser's price, and it does not predict views or earnings.

Calculate a CPM

The CPM formula

Cost ÷ impressions × 1,000 = CPM. $20.00 ÷ 10,000 × 1,000 = $2.00. The reverse is CPM × impressions ÷ 1,000. $2.00 × 10,000 ÷ 1,000 = $20.00. Amounts that do not land on a cent are shown to the nearest cent.
